You’ll need at least one authentication profile before you collect your device configuration.

To create an authentication profile:

1. Click on the Auth Profiles tab.
2. Click on Add New. The following dialog box opens:
   
   
3. Enter a name for the Authentication Profile. Make sure you use a descriptive name, for example Cisco-Core-SSH.
4. Select an Authentication Method from the drop-down list.
5. Enter a Username.
6. Enter a Password.
7. Re-enter the password to Enable Password.
8. Click on Save.

Repeat steps 2 to 8 for additional profiles you want to add.

The authentication profiles display in the Authentication Profiles List table. We recommend you add a tag to each profile for easy filtering. Click on Search or create a tag.

Next, collect your device configuration.
