Menu option: Design > IPv6
Make sure that the Welcome tab, and then the Overview tab is selected.
Before you start, make sure you have your parent block of addresses ready to input. Note that:
- IPv6 GUA addresses always start with 2001:
- IPv6 ULA addresses always start with fd:
To set up an address space:
- Select an Address Type from the drop down list: either Global Unicast Address (GUA) for publicly available addresses, or Unique Local Address (ULA) for private addresses.
- Enter your parent block in the IPv6 Address box.
- Enter a prefix for the address range in the Prefix Length box.
- [Optional] Provide a Description of this address group, if required.
- Click on Add Address Space.
The newly created Address Space displays alongside existing Address Spaces in the right-hand pane.
