Menu option: InfoSec > Internal PenTesting

Important: Make sure you are fully authorised to run these scans, as although they are non-intrusive, running Penetration Testing without authorisation may violate internal policies or legal requirements

In the main Penetration Testing screen, select the Discover tab.

To schedule a scan, or to set up a series of automated scans, in the pane titled Schedule Reconnaissance Scan:

1. Select the Schedule PenTest Scan tab. The following screen opens:
   
   
    
2. At PenTest Name, enter a name for the scan.
3. At Scan Types, select All, Network, Web or API.
4. At IP Addresses, select the IP address on which you want to run the scan. 
5. At Select Agent. select the agent that you want to run this scan. Only those agents associated with the scan type you selected at step 3 are displayed.
6. At Select Seedfile, select the seedfile containing the IP address you want to run the scan on. 
7. At Start Date and Time, enter the start date and start time for the first scheduled scan. 
8. At End Date, optionally select the last date on which you want the scan to run.
9. At Repeat Every, select the frequency of the scan. Select a numerical value, and then select either day(s), week(s) or months(s) to set the frequency. So for example if you select 2 week(s), the first scan will run on the date and time you selected in step 7, the subsequent scan will run 2 weeks later, the next scan 2 weeks after that, and so on.
10. Click Schedule Scan. The scheduled scan displays in the Scheduled PenTest Scans table.

    Click Schedule & Run Now. A scan starts to run straight away, and the scheduled scan displays in the Scheduled PenTest Scans table. The next scan will run on the start date and time selected in step 7.
