Menu option: Migration > Migration Config

This option enables you to generate an AI-powered migration analysis, which takes details from your current configurations and generate optimised configurations for your target platform.

To create a configuration:

1. Click the plus symbol next to the Welcome tab:

   
   The New Config and Generate Config tabs are highlighted, and the Generate Config form opens.

2. At the Select Site drop-down list, select the site that hosts the device you are planning to replace.
3. At the Select Source Device (Being Replaced) drop-down list, select the device that you are planning  to replace.
4. At the Select Component drop-down list, select the component that are planning to replace. If you want to replace all components for this device, leave the drop-down list blank.
5. At the Select Target Device (Migration Destination) drop-down list, enter the details of the migration destination. Details required are:
   Target Vendor - select a vendor from the drop-down list. This does not have to be the same as the source vendor - multi-vendor configurations are supported.
   Device Category - select the device category, from Router, Security or Switch.
   Product Family - select a product family. Options depend on your previous two selections.
   Target Device Model - select a device model. Options depend on your previous three selections.
6. Click on Start AI-Powered Migration Analysis.

Compare the Generated Configuration with the Current Configuration

You can run a diff analysis on the differences between the current configuration and AIs proposed configuration using the Compare tab.

Note: You must have generated at least one Migration Analysis before using this feature.

The following screen opens:

1. At Select Migration Configuration, select the Migration Analysis that you’ve performed previously.
2. At Select Existing Device Configuration, select an existing device configuration.
3. Click Perform Comparison Analysis. A line by line diff analysis is generated, and displays on screen.
