Menu option: InfoSec > CTF
To schedule a hacking exercise:
- Click on Schedule CTF Session. The following window opens:
- At Select CTF Session Template, select the difficult level of the scenario you want to schedule. The options are Advanced Network Security Challenge or Beginner's Network Fundamentals.
- At Session Name, give the session a name.
- At Description, give details of the CTF session, the Objectives and what participants will learn.
- At Difficulty Level, select one of Advanced. Intermediate and Beginner.
- At Start Date & Time, use the calendar to select the start date and time for the hacking exercise.
- At Duration, enter the number of hours you want to give participants to complete the exercise.
- At Number of Challenges, select the number of challenges you want the participants to attempt. Options are 10, 15 or 20.
- Click on Add User, then enter the email addresses of the people you want to participate.
- At Server Configuration, select either Auto-Provision Servers (the default, and recommended) or Manual configuration. If you select Manual configuration, you will need to configure the servers yourself.
- At Number of server, enter the number of servers you want to provision. Options are 3, 5 and 8.
- Click on Schedule Session.
Each participant invited in step 9 is sent an email with joining instructions.
