Menu option: Dashboard > Remediation
The VF Remediation Board is a high-level overview of currently live issues across your network, their severity and recommended remediations.
The Summary tiles include the following information:
- Total Issues
- Critical / High
- In Progress
- Resolved
In the table below is a detailed breakdown of each issue. You can filter these by any category, using the Search bar.
The information listed for each issue is:
- ID - assigned by VirtualSME.
- Title - description of the issue.
- Finding Type - one of Field Notice, Hardening, PSIRT or STIG.
- Device - click on the Device ID for a full report on all issues affecting this device.
- Severity - one of Critical, High, Medium or Low.
- Status - one of New or Assigned.
- Assignee - you can either view the assignee for this issue, or click on the unassigned icon and select an assignee from the list that opens.
- CVE/Reference - the unique CVE reference assigned to this issue type.
- Due Date - click to open a Calendar and select an a due date for resolving the issue.
- Priority - one of Urgent, High, Medium or Low. Click to change.
- Actions - click on the three dots menu, and then View Details to view the details of the issue, including recommended remediations. Or click on Delete to delete the issue record.
Creating a new remediation item
To manually create a remediation:
- Click on Add Item. The following dialog box opens:
- At Title, enter the issue’s title.
- At Finding Type, select the method used to find this issue from the drop-down list.
- At Site ID, select the site where the affected device is located from the drop-down list.
- At Device Hostname, select the affected device from the drop-down list.
- At Severity, select one of Critical, High, Medium or Low from the drop-down list.
- At CVE/Reference, enter the unique CVE number or reference number assigned to this issue type.
- At Priority, select an issue priority from the drop-down list; one of Urgent, High, Medium or Low.
- Complete the remaining Optional Fields as required, and then click Create Item. The issue is created and added to the remediation table.
