Menu option: Migration > MoP
Notes:
- You must have already performed up the migration before you can do this step.
- If you’ve just performed new migration and updated the Migration Steps tab, this tab is already open. Go to step 2.
To generate post-migration steps:
- In the Upcoming Migrations table, click on the green migration reference number. The following dialog box opens:
- With the Post-Migration Steps tab selected, click on Determine Post-Migration Commands. AI generates recommended commands: the spinner indicates progress. A list of recommended commands, similar to the following, displays:
- You can now choose to execute all the commands now, or to view or edit each individual command, and run the commands independent of each other. You can also add new commands and run them from here.
To run all of the displayed commands now, click on Execute Commands. -
To view each individual command, scroll down to the Post-Migration Step Results. The following information displays for each command:
Command / Action - shows the command and the action it performs.
Pass Criteria - shows what needs to be in place before the command can be run successfully.
Status - displays the current status of the migration.
Action - Click on the green play button to run this one command.Press the green button to run a command, or you can also Edit a Command or Add a Command.
We recommend you run all the commands to help ensure a successful migration.
- When you are ready, click on Continue.
Edit a Command
- Click on the check box next to the command or commands that you want to edit.
- Click on Edit Steps.
- Scroll to the right of the row. You will see that a pencil icon is now displayed.
- Click on the pencil icon. The following dialog box opens:
- Edit the steps as required, and click on Done.
Add a Command
- Click on Edit Steps.
- Click on the divider between any two commands. A plush symbol displays.
- Click on the plus symbol. The following dialog box opens:
- Complete the screen as follows:
Command - enter the new command
Purpose / Description - enter the purpose of the new command.
Pass Criteria - enter any dependencies that exist in order for the command to run successfully.
Output - enter any output you want to see after the command has run. - Click on Done.
- The new command displays in the existing command list, and can be edited or run as described above.
