You need to download the collector onto a device on your network before you can collect device configuration files for use with VirtualSME. To do this:

1. In VirtualSME, open Getting Started > Collector, then click on Download Collector. The following dialog box opens:
   
   
2. Choose the correct file for your operating system then click Download. The Collector Agent package downloads. Once the download has completed, click on the .exe file to open the Collector Agent install wizard:
   
   
3. Follow the steps to run the install wizard. You’ll be notified when the installation is complete.
4. Go to Applications on your device, and double-click on VirtualSME Portal. The Collector Agent Log In screen loads in your browser:
   
   
5. Use these credentials to log in:
   Username: admin
   Password: dev-password
   
   The following screen opens:
   
    

To start the collection process, go to Upload Seedfiles

To use the Collector Agent to collect an already uploaded device configuration, go to Collect Device Configuration
